Does being constantly in the social media spotlight- where nothing is truly ever deleted – fundamentally change the experience of growing up? Are ‘digital natives’ reckless about matters of privacy and sharing or are they simply embracing the new realities of digital transparency? Is there no escape for digital teens from who they used to be? Should we be concerned that the permanent display of adolescence diminishes young people’s potential or do we need to chill out about the inanity of social media? Filmed at the Battle of Ideas this debate is certainly worth sharing.
