Carswell’s radical manifesto offers a defence of liberal democracy and a critique of both capitalism and anti-capitalism. But just how revolutionary are his ideas? Did Carswell succeed in ‘saving Euroscepticism’ from anti-immigrant Farageism as he set out to? And is his credibility undermined by his promiscuous relationship to political parties?
