Are political parties over?

In the wake of the Brexit vote all four of Britain’s main political parties were falling apart. Similar problems are facing the old parties in the USA and Europe. Are we seeing a refreshing departure from the old-style politics of Labour vs Conservative or simply a process of fragmentation? How long can the old parties survive for and what do new parties need to look like to truly represent today’s political divides?
