Sylvia’s security files
The National Archives at Kew hold numerous ‘security items’ on Sylvia which were eventually released for public viewing. The National Archives kindly allowed our volunteers to photograph many items. These documents demonstrate the impact she was having on the British establishment at the time, the fear she invoked, their efforts to silence her and her fearlessness in taking on the state. Some material is included in the documentary, but we could not include it all and these items we felt were important for the world to see and so present the most legible here. There are further files on Sylvia now released by MI5 and many more items from cabinet papers to correspondence so this is by no means an exhaustive collection.
