Get Involved: Tour Film Cinematographer
Opportunity Details
Working with WORLDwrite and its fledgling not-for-profit film company Chew on it productions, this is a role for volunteers who have at least the basic skills required for a camera operator or cinematographer but want more experience and to challenge prevailing ideas. The role involves working on documentaries that will have an impact on the world, and in this instance shooting thematically-chosen issues for London Behind the Scenes. This is an online, on foot and on film project being developed in the run up to the Olympics. From storyboards to shot lists to experimental shoots to filming extra material for the films, the cinematographer's role requires attention to detail, a willingness to look after expensive kit and, crucially, creative vision. Volunteers will work with existing camera operators on a slate of documentaries, all of which challenge the status quo. All work will be credited. The opportunity exists for volunteers to take on all aspects of this demanding role, or to take on smaller tasks such as researching and assisting on location shoots and preparing the cameras and camera crew.
Skills Required
None, but a commitment to global equality is a must!
