Make Open Borders matter-Take part with us in the Women's 5K Challenge in Hyde Park on 5th September 2010
The Adidas Women’s 5K Challenge is a huge fun run for women of all ages taking place in Hyde Park, London. We take part each year to promote Open Borders – The More the Merrier and this year, given the new coalition government are promising to crack down on immigration our message is more important than ever. We need lots of runners, sponsors and publicity. Can you help make this happen?
If you can do the run, that’s brilliant and you can of course walk it, as many of us less fit ladies do. We’ll pay your registration fee of £15 and print you a T shirt as long as you commit to raising at least that much back by getting friends, family & colleagues to sponsor you. Not only do we have a vital message to get across but we make this the key opportunity every year to raise crucial funds for our peers in Ghana who are not allowed to come to the UK & earn cash to send back to their families.
You can view the official details of the run here.
If you can take part please email us, we’ll need your full name & date of birth to register you. We’ll also help you set up an online sponsor page and get a paper copy of a sponsor form to you. We’re also planning a pre-run meeting to develop some creative ideas to make our mark and some of you may even fancy a spot of group training!
If you are away in September so can’t join us on the day – do at least sponsor us and get your friends to. It’s easy to do, just click here.
