Volunteer GalleryStand up for global equality and rope your mates in!

We know how precious everyone's time is, so volunteering with WORLDwrite means doing what you want to do, when you want to do it. The decisions are always yours. We don't want CVs and we can't afford flashy mail-outs. We can promise a good laugh, a passionate team, a global perspective and a challenge for everyone up for it. WORLDwrite is looking for volunteers who want to let the world know that only the best will do for everyone.

How to start Volunteering

WORLDwrite needs volunteers to participate in and help with all of its projects.

The possibilities are enormous and jobs endless. Please read the details below about how to start getting involved at WORLDwrite or visit our Volunteer Opportunities page, where you can browse through a detailed list of the (very varied) opportunities we have available. Please remember that there is always something you can help out with, so even if none of the specific opportunities appeal, get in touch anyway and come to one of our introductory evenings to find out more.

WORLDwrite hosts introductory evenings once a month so that potential new volunteers can meet us, see our films, find out about our work and hopefully get involved straight away!

The next introductory evening is on:

Thursday 16th September 2010 at 7:30pm

If you want to get involved straight away, please complete the simple form below and click the Submit button at the end. Please remember to indicate whether or not you can come to the introductory evening. If you can come, we will email you with confirmation and directions to our centre.

General information about open evenings

Please contact us first using the form above before coming to an open evening, as space is limited. These are informal evenings and allow us to discuss our work and projects with you, and provide you with an opportunity to present your needs and interests. The volunteer opportunities we have are numerous, exciting and flexible time-wise.

Please note WORLDwrite is not a drop-in centre - it's very busy and full of volunteers who are passionate about global equality and working hard on projects. This means you cannot just turn up at our centre without making an arrangement with us first.

If you're not London-based we still want to hear from you, as lots of our volunteers work from home, visit us occasionally, and therefore can be based anywhere in the world.

Volunteer Enquiry Form

If you have applied for volunteering with WORLDwrite through the Do-It website then there's no need to fill out the form below; you will hear from us shortly via email.

Saleha AliHi I'm Saleha Ali, WORLDwrite's Volunteer Coordinator, and I'll be replying to your emails.

Starting out as a volunteer myself, I did the 'Train & Shoot' programme and worked on one of the film projects which led to my unstinting enthusiasm for all that WORLDwrite stands for and does. It is great to be working for an organisation which champions aspirations, progress and equality. If you are a current volunteer or are interested in volunteering with us, I am here to help you get involved in our numerous projects and get the most out of your volunteering experience.
