Headline: As good as it gets? A WORLDwrite Summit for Serious Development
Story: WORLDwrite is hosting a unique opportunity for everyone concerned with North South Equality to critically assess contemporary development issues.
This WORLDwrite Summit for Serious Development will take place at the Oval Hospitality Suite, Surrey County Cricket club in London on Wednesday 5th November 2003 from 9am-4.30pm.
The day will be organised around five key sessions.
These will examine:
- Development in Action - the state of development policies today and where this leaves the developing world
- Documenting Development - the need for objective reporting, film and research
- Ghana Exchange Launch - an opportunity for volunteers to join a film crew and take part in a unique exchange visit to Ghana
- Development could happen - the possibilities provided by global innovation, projects that could happen and the partial 'take off' in China
- What can we do - a panel debate on the action needed to assist our peers in the developing world.
Invited speakers and specialists are promising a critical perspective, to cut through the jargon and take us beyond the usual rhetoric.
